D
Hear that lonesome whippoorwill
D7
He sounds too blue to fly
G D
The midnight train is whining low
A7 D
I'm so lonesome I could cry
I've never seen a night so long
D7
When time goes crawling by
G D
The moon just went behind a cloud
A7 D
To hide its face and cry
Did you ever see a robin weep
D7
When leaves begin to die
G D
That means he's lost the will to live
A7 D
I'm so lonesome I could cry
The silence of a falling star
D7
Lights up a purple sky
G D
And as I wonder where you are
A7 D
I'm so lonesome I could cry
"Keeping A Song In My Heart"
Have A Great Day!

Old Hank could really bring bring out the sad sound with this one. I'm sure I can bring out tears from people when I sing it but probably for different reasons.
ReplyDeleteI like your humor. Keep enjoying life . . . strumming, singing, and laughing at yourself. That sounds like a healthy way to live, don't you think? Have a good day and thanks for stopping by, Connie :)
